Reporting guidance limits the number of staff salaries tax-exempt organizations must include in public financial documents While CEO Update's annual list of the 200 highest-paid staffers in associations is the most comprehensive list available, reporting limitations may make the data incomplete. Official IRS guidance limits the disclosure of staff salaries for tax-exempt organizations to 20 individuals who earn more than $150,000 and who meet an IRS defined "responsibility test," such as managing more than 10 percent of the organization's "activities, assets, income, or expenses."
